The European gas market appears to be in crisis. Gas-fired power plants are being shut down, domestic production is declining, shale gas is not taking off, gas prices are structurally higher than in the US. Many observers wonder whether gas still has a future in Europe.
This situation was reason for the Dutch gas industry to ask Karel Beckman and his colleagues at Energy Post to interview a wide range of experts to find out what the future prospects are for the Dutch and European gas industry.
