The objective of this online workshop is to identify innovative EU solutions to benefit the energy Transition in China, building on climate commitments and European business experience and pointing the way for European businesses to enter the Chinese market as set out in the ECECP Joint Statement of April 2019.
Background
The EU has a mature incubator eco-system to ensure the right ideas are discovered, supported and put into practice either as start-ups or through integration into established actors in the sector. From this ongoing process many European organisations have been able to successfully bring the latest techniques to the market. The workshop will inform ECECP reports and action plans by helping to answer
Which innovative techniques and business models are needed in China?
How can the developers and owners of required tech introduce their solutions into the Chinese sector to benefit all and support global climate ambitions?
The workshop is broken into four sessions. Each lasting 90-minutes and featuring an expert panel comprising voices from business, the European Commission and independents. For this first workshop, the four sessions are as follows:

Since 2004 she has been an official in the European Commission where she has worked on Agriculture and Trade policies and from 2014 to 2019 she was Head of Cabinet to the ex-Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy, Miguel Arias Cañete. From December 2019 to June 2020, she has been Principal Adviser in DG AGRI and since 16 June, she is Director for Energy Policy in DG ENER in the European Commission
