Karel has been writing about energy since 2001, first as editor at the Dutch financial newspaper Financieele Dagblad, then from 2007 as chief editor and co-founder of European Energy Review. He founded Energy Post in 2013. In 2010 he won the Award for Excellence in Written Journalism from the International Association of Energy Economists (IAEE).

With an editorial background stretching back to 1989, Jason Deign has been reporting on the energy sector since 2010 and founded Energy Storage Report in 2011, editing the publication for seven years. A member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, he is a regular contributor to leading energy sector news sites such as Greentech Media, New Energy Update and Solarplaza.
After working in marketing analysis and consultancy for agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Sally Crail moved into writing and editing. As well as being a regular contributor to the Energy Storage Report intelligence brief and website, she has created reports on numerous industries and countries, with work appearing in media such as The Times, The Guardian, Foreign Policy, Forbes and Newsweek.
