Interview Adam Sieminksi, Chief EIA: “Gas production in the US will keep growing”

The Energy Information Administration (EIA), part of the US Department of Energy, predicts that natural gas production in the US will continue to grow at an impressive pace – regardless of what shale gas and environmental critics believe. Is the door to CCS closing in the UK?

IEA: coal unsustainable but here to stay

Tougher Chinese policies aimed at reducing dependency on coal will help restrain global coal demand growth over the next five years, the International Energy Agency (IEA) says in its annual Medium-Term Coal Market Report released today. Britain converts its largest coal-fired power station in renewable energy producer plus major CCS project

Britain’s largest coal-fired power station is set to become one of Europe’s biggest renewable electricity generators today, with the potential for new future generation on the site to be based on truly clean coal.
